Crank Stuck
#1
Hi, I'm new here so if I screw up please let me know and I apologize in advance. I stripped the threads on my right side crank arm and decided to put on a new crankset. I need to remove the left crank still it is a spline type crank. I got the Park Tool CCP- 44 remover and followed the instructions. However the crank is just plain stuck I cannot turn it any further just by hand force. I am fairly petite and don't have a repair stand so leverage is a bit difficult. I don't want to do anything stupid like hit it with a hammer or jump on it ect. Is this a normal stickyness or should I not force it.

Ye the crank arms can get stucken. I suggest you spray some Liquid Wrench or such on both sides of arm tap the arm hard a few times and let it soak in.Take your time . Sometimes overnight.

Than try again, step on the handle if you can for more leverage. Hammer works too.

BTW welcome to the list........
