Norco Bush Pilot
#1
Hello,
I have a Norco Bush Pilot with Araya 26 x 150 wheels....36 spoke....Sealed Mech EXAGE HB-RM50 axle. The front axle needs to be replaced, I believe it could be Formula FM-31 hub. My question is would i be able to replace with any make/model part? What would be the cheapest yet still decent quality replacement part?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

cheapest; unless you can build your own wheels; is to replace the whole wheel.

sealed bearing axles are very difficult to come by - you might try contacting the hub manufacturer - but if you need a new axle, you probably need new bearings, and a new hub...... If you have cones, it would be easy to replace the axle.

Yup, totally agree with Nigel. As I like to point out: rims are consumables. They are so much cheaper than hubs. If the hub is shot replace the wheel. Sorry. Unless you really want to learn how to build wheels... but even then it is easier to start with a new rim as this is already more round(ish).
