Dual Control Lever

I didn't find as much information as I wanted to on the internet, so I opened a thread here. I'm going to buy a XT st-m760 dcl in July and I already started to get some info. What do you think about this shimano technology? Can i combine them with Sram BB7? I want these because v-brakes get stuck in the mud and a hydraulic is expensive and also much harder to keep.
