New bottom bracket making noises

Just installed a new bottom bracket and now there's a creaking sound coming from my bike. It's quite loud, I can feel the vibrations of whatever is causing the noise through the crank arms, and the creaking is in sync with my pedaling. Any ideas what might be causing this?? I tried removing the bottom bracket and putting it back on and that didn't change anything. Thanks, any ideas would be appreciated!

Sounds like you have a sealed BB, What model? Do you have play if you pull the pedal arm away from the bike on both sides, does it feel rough when rotates. More info. Could be a bad BB or not torqued properly. Anything rubbing?

I once got a ticking noise on my bike checked crank, gears, still there, got the bike on a stand rotated slowly found my frame pump twisted and the pedals were hitting it. Duh! Check carefully all possibilities.

I would rock the cranks and check there is not movement through the bottom bracket. If it does them make sure the locking collar is screwed in properly and is tight. Also make sure the crank bolts are tight as after disassembly they might need to be tightened again.
