Overhaul bottom bracket
#1
For the tutorial of overhauling the bottom bracket, there is a mention of dropping the bearings in a container with solvent for cleaning. Which solvent works?

Assuming it has separate ball bearings?
Then anything that will remove grease.
Such as WD40, white spirit, petrol, paraffin, Gunk or just wipe each one with a rag.
Basically you are just cleaning off the old grease and any dirt.
On re-assembly use new grease to keep out moisture and to act as a lubricant.
Ride hard or ride home alone!
