Hi Bill I'm jealous. You guys in the US just seem to be 'finding bikes' - amazing or what. I spend my time looking into people's back and front yards in my travels around London but no such luck here because I think people in England are very aware of 'the bike thing' because its so highly promoted here with lots of charity rides and something they call the Sky Ride which takes place in just about every major city centre. I lived in Brooklyn from 1983 to 1991 maybe I better move back, I might have a bit of luck there.

I finally got time to work on this bike. I stripped it and rebuilt it. Left the original paint. New tires & tubes, New saddle, chain, bar tape, cables and housings for both brakes and shifters, and some new brake pads. The Saddle, bar tape and housings were white so it looked really nice. I sold it to a local college girl who loved it. I love saving these bikes and releasing them back into the world.

Big mistake, I didn't snap any. I literally did the whole project in like 3 hours and had it sold the same day. I might email the girl to get a photo from her.
