Changing rear cassette

Hi I am a new member and would like help with the following question. If I change the cassette on my 10 speed roadbike from 12-25 to 12-32 will I need a new rear derailleur.

Depends on what der you have now. They have ranges that they are designed to handle. Try to find the model number on the derailleur so you can look up its acceptable gear range. Look on the back of the pulley cage.

You'll probably need a slightly longer chain regardless. But not a bad idea to change chains with a new cassette anyway.

I've just gone from a 12 - 25 to 11 - 28 and my Shimano 105 5600 short cage rear derailleur only just coped as Shimano only recommend going to a 27 on a 5600. If you go as low as you want, I think you'll need a long cage with the resulting longer chain.

You are spot on I did it last weekend and had to change the rear mech and chain as well. Very pleased with the range of gears now so well worth doing.
