Googles New Bicycle Maps

Just wanted to share with everyone that when one uses google maps there is an option to map in bicycle routes. It is beta right now but really cool.

I've been playing with it off and on for a few weeks, and it appears to be pretty good stuff, which is what I'd expect from Google anyway.

There's even a way to submit input, if they have something wrong or if you want to make comments. There's a route they mapped that's near my house that I wouldn't ride for any reason. The road is narrow with no shoulders and with several blind curves, so any moves to avoid the usual SUV blasting by at 45 will land a cyclist right in the ditch. When I want to ride that way, I go the long way around...

Yes I noticed that it is off, guess that is why they say it is still beta. Did not noticed that comment area, will check it out thanks!

I used it to plan my route to work. It actually worked way better than the way I was going to take.
