Help! 2018 Diamondback Line
#1
I have a 2018 diamondback line 27.5” . I rode it a few times and the crankset makes a popping noise as i pedal most likely due to being 230lbs. Any recommendations on what i could replace the old ones with that would work better with my weight and handle my riding better.

hi Jake. can you please send us a photo of your crankset and describe the noise more in detail? does your diamondback have single chainring crank with a chain guide + roller?

i mean is it like this one but 2018 model https://www.bikeride.com/diamondback-line/?

Hi! Yes it is like the one in the link. Here are some photos and the noise for sure comes from the crank but it on when i put weight even by hand as if the rod for the crank is shifting. I have a video that you can kind of hear the noise once

remove crank arms from Bottom bracket, remove bottom bracket, clean all surfaces including shell on frame and grease all surface to surface contacts and threads then assemble. if your chainring is removable from the crank arm, grease all contact surfaces and assemble there also.

Ill try that and see if it works. Thats probably it because it first started happening when i went trail riding in Danville, PA and it was pretty muddy. Thanks
