Decals on Powdercoat

Does anyone have any experience with putting decals over a fresh powdercoat? I usually rattlecan my frames but there is a guy in town who is doing full strip and powdercoat for 50 dollars. Thats a serious deal, but I'm wondering about putting the decals on. I usually clear coat the decals on, but from what I understand a powder coat does not need a clear coat.

Thanks, The decals were actually a huge failure. The ones I bought from eBay were really low quality and they curled and peeled before I was able to put on all the components. Big disappointment.

That's a shame. I just had a similar experience ordering stickers from ebay. They turned out to be print-outs from someone's computer

Yeah, it's hit or miss with TREK decals. Trek doesn't sell actual decals so you have to rely on third party decals.
