No quick release lever on bike
#1
I have a Next PX 6.0 bike from Walmart. Im trying to set it up to ride on a Bike Traniner. The bike doesnt have a quick release lever, it has regular screws that hold the wheel in place to frame. How do I setup the quick release lever that came with bike trainer to my bike?

you will not use the quik release. try to find and acorn style nut for your axle thread

yes you will fit the acorn nuts in place of your hex nut (not screw).
take your hex nut to hardware store to figure out size and thread pitch so you order correctly. order 2 acorn nuts and if they are not deep enough, add washer to suit.
one note: I have never used a nutted axle bicycle in my trainer. the main reason they supply a lever is so you do not tear up or break your fancy more expensive lever should you have one. with that said take the lever they gave you to the hardware store to see if the nut will be close in size to the lever ends and it should work nice for what you need and keep your bike centered and tight in the clamps.
It is all I can come up with for a soulution and there is your million dollar bicycle product Idea to market. you may thank me later with some royaltiesSmile
