This is a pic of my other Jump Bike. I raided parts off my other bikes to build it and its strictly jump frames for me from now on because none of my other bikes and the bikers I meet on my daily commute can keep up with these. The secret i feel is in the small stiff frame, long seatpost and you can ride them like a BMX all day long.

My Retro Saracen Tuff Trax. Everything original except for the tyres. From the days when Shimano made v brake blocks.

thanks Bill I dont put my things on any other site because I dont like the negative criticisms / comments without suggestions that I see happening on some other sites. BT members are supportive and encouraging to each other and I really like that.

When I first came my feeling were the same of people not being supportive and having such negative opinions, other places as well friends. Putting up the first post made me feel pretty daggon welcome. Can't say this is where I learned everything I currently know about bikes, but 85% is 15% hands on! No one here had the holy than thou attitude in any mannerism. Of course there are comic criticisms which make me laugh and see the answer to something, which is really cool.

Remember one thing this is "OUR" site for us to build and refer to as it was intended for a common hobby/pleasure/sport/business adventure we all love to take.

When there is a new post one doesnt always get to reply to it, but eventually does get to read Wink .
Anyways lol your welcome. Smile

Before and after of a Marin Lucas Valley im preparing for painting. The paint remover couldnt remove the paint so I ended up scraping the whole frame with a razor blade. I think the Paint is acrylic as its a very dry and hard paint about 2mm thick and just seemed to chip off with the blade. Its the first paint ive come across like this.

Took my Killer V out of the loft to polish but realised it looked too good and couldn't really bring myself to do it so it had a lucky escape for the time being anyway. Lots of these on line in polished guise so - watch this space.

thanks Bill for appreciating. I'm really itching to polish it but i just cant seem to bring myself to do it. I got this because I saw a lot of these polished up on line and this style of frame looks amazing in polished form.
I'm currently doing an F400? / F500? for someone so would wait to see how that turn out before going ahead with my Killer V.

I'm curious about where you find these bikes. Do you get them at bike shops, or find them on Craigslist? All I ever see on Craigslist are 30 year old Schwinns that people want too many $$ for.

Hi Sparky i've been collecting my frames over the past 5 years and havent really stopped. I dont live in the States though, I'm in England but its the same over here, bike prices are rising fast and everybody wants a fortune for their rusty frames. I

Latest project. Might just build an all gloss black (no matt) machine or all Kawazaki green. This set-up is going to be a very lightweight project so still toying with the idea of building these wheels around my magnesium frame and use as much carbon components as i could possible find and very importantly, afford.

I'm just a sucker for orange coloured Jump bikes
The BMX is a DNA Pro Racer which I got for my son and the Jump Frame is a UMF Hardy 3 awaiting a respray in Ford Focus ST Electric Orange.
