Charles Steinlauf's "Goofybike"
#1
Four person bike with treadle sewing machine. Charles on top pedalling, mom sewing, son pedaling, daughter up front. 1939 Chicago. For a tradesman bike this might take the cake; but many similar bikes built in Europe for just about any trade they could figure out a way to conduct business on it. This bike is essentially a 2 story tandem

Take care,
Jesper

Cast-iron treadle table. This beast must weigh almost a literal ton!

Probably why it's built as a tandem! Just the people alone would be approx. 450-500 lbs.
I have seen some pretty amazing "tradesman" bikes that are workshops on wheels and only single riders.
Take care,
Jesper
