Giving Tuesday or Gifting Tuesday
#1
As we celebrate the holidays, shop on Cyber Monday, and give on “Giving Tuesday,” I wanted to share the work of Emily, a fellow cyclist I met in Nepal’s Himalayas.

Disclaimer: She did not ask me to write this. I’ve simply seen her passion firsthand. I met her in a tiny village called Bhraka, Annapurna region of Nepal volunteering at the primary school—teaching English, coaching soccer, and still running her online classes for students in China and Vietnam.

Emily Hulbert is an Australian who's been cycling for some 3-5 years now with hopes to reach England and meet her grand arents.

Along the way, she's been raising funds to donate Sawyer water filters, water bottles and toys to far away communities and schools.

I spent nearly two weeks in this part of the Annapurna Circuit and was genuinely inspired by her work.

So, if you’re able to support her mission this holiday season, please do. I’ll be supporting her and trying to emulate her in my own small way.

@Flowrider, Emily said she's from Melbourne and I believe she will be there for 4-6 weeks during the Christmas. Not sure where in Australia you live but i told her that you organize lots of group rides..Wink

Yup, I'm in Noosa and organise a group ride every Monday and Thursday morning Smile

I've ridden a bit in Melbourne, more in the Diggers Rest area. Heard there are some neat rides around Melbourne. Be awesome to explore!

Hey everyone! I love the idea of Gifting Tuesday, especially with how it promotes community and shared experiences. Last year, I organized a biking event where we raised funds for local trails. It felt amazing to give back while riding together!

I totally relate to the challenges folks mentioned about winter rides. Last season, I tried snow biking for the first time—it was super exhilarating but tricky! If anyone's interested in taking their riding adventures into snowy terrains, definitely check out games like Snow Rider 3D; it gives you a taste of that thrill without bundling up! Can't wait to hear more stories from all of you!
