Giro was quite exciting and surprising at times this year, especially the penultimate stage. Team Visma executed their classic strategy perfectly. Wout went on a breakaway. Simon Yates had saved up his power for 19 stages and went on a strong attack from behind (while Del Toro and Carapaz were holding each other on a leash). Then Wout dropped from the breakaway and pulled Yates for a while, pushing own limits. Great team effort!

Overall, Yates won more than five minutes which is crazy! Him going on an attack - could have expected that. But him gaining so much time ... surprising indeed.
But meanwhile, Del Toro showed that he'll be someone to watch out for in the upcoming years. He's only 21.

I'm looking forward to the Tour Smile
