Maybe the fact that they are down actually means the profits are getting inline with what they should be. Profit is such a loose term. I do not think the doors are going to close.

Probably not really a big deal. Sales of almost everything run in cycles. Im sure their sales will go up again. The reason I say that is bikes wear out, and the population is increasing.
Like painkiller said, profit is a loose term. Perhaps profits and margin are merging closer, better for the consumer. With so many new brands, the switch to e-bikes, discounted new bikes, keeping bikes longer by self repairing, and saving by buying used (my last two,) looks like the consumer will benefit.

for me I think the used bike segment is on the rise after about a 2yr slow down. I cannot get them out fast enough. I have to pick up the pace
