Is now the worst time to buy an ebike? No idea how long it's supposed to go for, or any of the details really. Just read about it and know that a lot of the ebikes I was looking at were made in China.

Almost EVERYTHING is made in China.

And almost everything else is made outside the USA.

Good luck!

should still be fine if you get the item from your local bike shop, the landed cost is already tucked in the pricing so I don't see any reason how geopolitical situations or Chinese holidays should stop you from ordering a nice bike, good luck with your hunt for the perfect ride for you! looking forward to seeing what you share when you finally decide to pull the trigger on something

I completely agree with @meamoantonio and @enkei. Here in India, there's a HUGE movement to skip/ban Chinese products and people say they don't want/won't use Chinese products. And, there's a big push for "domestically' made products. But, it's simply domestically "packaged"..

Without Chinese industrial-level manufacturing, things would not be this "affordable".

As I travel the rural/far parts of India I see how "made in China-packaged in India" products have flooded villagers' homes.

So, I would say just search-around and buy a good bike that fits your needs. And, please do let us know what you end-up buying..:-)

Great point (about buying locally).
