Classic MTB: Kirk Revolution DC magnesium frame!
#1
Came across this oddity locked up in town today. It appears to have been 'restored'/repainted at some point, so I couldn't see any useful make or model indicators.

Anyway, it turns out this is a Kirk Revolution DX cast-magnesium frame produced in the late-'80s or early-'90s.

Cool bikes, but known for cracking. I have never seen one in the flesh in the US. Not sure if they have much value other than as an oddity. Still an interesting frame design both from an aesthetic point of view and in the engineering behind it's manufacturing.
Take care,
Jesper

Don't forget the handy bright light when Mg burns.
