Bike Computer /w No Minimum Circumference
#1
Does anyone know of a wired, non-GPS bike computer into which I can enter a wheel circumference of ANY size? Most computers seem to limit entries to a predefined minimum, which simply won't work for my project. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Did you have a general size limit (smallest and/or largest) for your needs? I can look at some of my older computer's manuals and see what they say. There is a chance that even though the manual might only show certain wheel sizes you can still enter sizes (circumference or diameter) that are beyond the listed range since they are generally designed for specific size range, but the dimension that you enter may be outside of that which is listed. You could also contact the manucfacturer and ask if the computer can be programmed outside the of the listed unit's size range.
You could probably go online and look up the manuals for older and newer computers and see what their range is listed as. I am not sure why a wired one would be any different than a wireless since they have been designed for the same use. If the listed size range does not cover your specific need then I guess you would have to find/buy one to test out be it used or new, wired or wireless.
Is it going to be used on a bike or some other vehicle or device? You could also use a multiple of, or fraction of the size you program into the computer. E.g. if your wheel is half of the programmed size than you can simply do the math to determine the actual reading.

When I first started riding in 2010 I purchased Schwinn computers in Walmart, haven't seen them recently... A look on eBay found the wired schwinn units: https://www.ebay.com/itm/283274369432?hash=item41f477d998:g:C-8AAOSw8PJb-Ckf
