New: Vitesse Signal Giveaway's Winner Announced

Chesini Gran Premio
#1
Later 90s Gran Premio made with Dedacciai CrMo tubing. Tear drop shaped down tube. Very nice custom paint work by the great Belgian cyclist Frank Hoste (went into the bike business upon retiring). I am clearing out the shed and I am not riding it so stripped it down for selling purposes. Will post it in the marketplace with more specifics. I still prefer older forks and their feel compared to the newer designs. Chesini headset and stem will bet transferred to a 70s Chesini frame.

Thanks @Jesper for showing that frame. I assume now, based on your prior criteria that this is being shown due to being up for sale. Thanks anyways, it is a nice looking frame and paintwork. i must agree with you on the fork design; never been a fan of the unicrown; even on mtbs, etc. I would not know how the ride difference is with a unicrown on a road bike since I do not think I have one that new. Now I have to check my Lemond (1996), good chance it has one.

Edit: yes, the Lemond is a unicrown! Never thought too much about it. It is my climber, but also used on some rough paved and gravel country roads. the ride seems okay for what it is worth.

Orange is my favorite color, plus I'm down in Florida Gator country so the orange and blue allowed for some college association (my college colors are maroon and gray; kind of boring!). The color scheme actually will add a little sales value (I hope) due to the local collegiate market; at least should make it sell quicker.

I should also add that my fork preference might be a little biased and probably psychological. I would really have to ride that frame with a lugged crown to know the difference. If I had a spare Chesini fork to fit it with an older crown I'd probably keep the frame, but a Chesini fork is about $175- $200 used.
