My actual first bike was a hand-me-down from my older brother. After the training wheels came off and I was a little bigger my parents got me a little mountain bike. I don't remember the brand of it, but I was probably just a common one.
riding on Qingdao City, the most beautiful railway, interesting
My first bike was a children's bike that I rode in my hometown when I was a kid, that bike had been through a lot, it was ridden by my cousin, my sister, and one day the tyre broke, my cousin cut the tyre off, and the bike only had one hub left, but it could be ridden hahahahahahahaha
I rode this bike (only the hub version) around my house like this, it didn't have shock absorbers but it was still a joy to ride! It's still a joy to ride.
Though I can't go back to the old days, the broken bike is still at my old house, and I recently bought a new car to rediscover the joy of cycling in the past!
Fun childhood memories...:-)

My first bicycle was a red and white 1952 Schwinn Hornet with. I think, 20" wheels presented to me on my 5th birthday 72 years ago. My Great-Uncle Lawrence sat me up on the seat and told me that he would let loose when I said I was ready... I left him there holding air. What I couldn't understand at the time was why everyone was yelling and screaming when I came up behind them after going around the block. (never left the sidewalk)
Twenty-seven solo transcontinental crossings. My last crossing was at the age of 66 with 185 pounds of bike and gear on an artificial hip. Over a 72 year span I have ridden a half-million miles. I am not done. I am Raven Stands Alone, the Emperor of the Universe. (Google it)
could not read write and research brand name model specs at age 3-5. But I do remember riding on Eurekaforbes vacuum cleaner. Wish we had Robot wheel vacuum cleaners then when I weighed very less. If I sit now its going to flatten

The excellent, but far too big for me at the time, Raleigh Grifter.

It had 26" wheels and a Shimano groupset. Meanwhile, my sister got Classic Magnum, a yellow 18-speed MTB with a rigid fork. Not sure about the origin of these bikes. The brand might have come from the UK, but it hasn't been an easy search on Google. Great memories.
Adding to my original reply ... a red trike like this one might have been the first bike I ever rode. I was probably around 4 or 5 years old, though I can’t remember exactly. The bike’s name translates to
Little Dragonfly. This wasn't mine but all the kids in the yard (back in my countryside) shared it. The image is from the internet.
