How to clean your bike when you live in an apartment
#1
I ride a hybrid mountain bike, which means sometimes I take it through some grit and soft dirt and the like or occasionally hit a standing puddle of mud on a trail.

I’ve been planning on purchasing a condo, but that would mean I would not only have to store my bike in the main the living area, but also would have no way to rinse it off outside with a hose.

Some suggestions I’ve gotten were to do things like clean it in the bathtub, but I don’t know what to think of that.

Any advice?

Hey.
Have you heard of these bicycle 'socks'? This might be one non-cleaning-hustle solution

Do you have a car-wash nearby home? I'd spray it there and roll back home.

I have a relatively narrow shower cabin, and both 29er MTB and road bike fit there. Although honestly it's a pain (would be a pain) to wash them after each ride or more than once a week. A bathtub is certainly more convenient. Significant others often don't like this idea though Big Grin

What @Sagan97 mentioned is a nice solution as well. It works if you don't mind not cleaning your bike after each ride.

Looks like a good idea, although I’d try to find something a little cheaper. $70 seems a bit pricey for something that’s basically a fitted sheet.

Also need to make sure it works with this stand.

I agree that it's not the cheapest option even though the quality is top and the prints are well done. There must be something "in-between" the cheapest options and this one.

Get yourself a Tub O' Towels. Some rubbing compound. Some wax.

Maybe some detail brushes.

Make sure you wear a mask and gloves so no microbes eat your brain.
