Hi
I hope someone can help.
I removed the front wheel on my ebike to fix a puncture which has disc brake.
When trying to replace the wheel it was difficult to get in the forks
And when I finally got it in the wheel is stiff with no play at all.
hope you can help.?

Hello "rgh",
Are the brake disc/calipers binding; are they cable or hydraulic? Any spacers on the wheel axle that might have been missed when reinstalling? Since I don't have any bikes with disc brakes I can't say that they are part of the issue, but using the same type of experience from auto mobile brakes I can say that I occasionally have issues with the brake pads having moved inward inadvertently and necessitating spreading the pads in order the refit by opening the bleed valve. Does the wheel presently spin?
Take care,
Jesper

Though its a few years since the last time. the wheel wont spin in fact it makes screeching noises when trying to turn the wheel.
It has a spring on the wheel bolt but cant remember which side it goes .

Does the brake disc readily slide into the caliper? If not, did you release the cable allowing for the pads to be spread? I don't have have that type of bike so I am not experienced with that brake/hub system. I can't imagine the wheel binding on anything other than the disc and caliper pads. As far as the spring on the wheel bolt goes, I'm at a loss; the only springs I have on any of my wheels are for the quick release skewers, one per side. Does the wheel spin freely when not mounted in the fork?
Take care,
Jesper
