clicking sound possibly from BB?
#1
I have a clicking sound that occurs while pedaling my MTB and it seems to be coming from the BB though I don't feel anything at all when it makes the sound. My bike is pretty dusty from so much riding in dusty conditions. I'm not positive it's coming from the BB but I really doubt it's a cable problem and can't think of other sources. Any ideas?

"You don't need to feel something for it to be coming from there. Take it to a bike shop and get them to take it apart, look at it and replace it if necessary. It might just need to be repacked with grease."

We get these in my shop often, it is almost certaintly just the BB needing grease. If you have a cool bike mechanic like me its a 6 minute job, but if they are less cool than they might have to take it in.
But because you don't feel anything its probably it just needing grease.

I had a similar case back in July. Took it to a friend @ the local shop and he did some regreasing, just like the others mentioned here already.
