Cleats

Does anyone know if the rubber inserts in 'red cleats' can be purchased separately and if they can, where?  My cleats are like new, but the rubber has worn down to where the plastic cleat touches the pedal face and creaks.  Thanks.

Hi Limey,

I realize this is an old thread at this point but would suggest checking with the manufacturer of the cleats.

I've never had the question asked but it is a good one.

Thanks for the reply, but the subject is now academic.  I bought a new set of SPD pedals together with cleats, so I no longer have to fight the wearing out of the rubber inserts. However the irony is that within a month, one of the small plastic wear pads fell off !!  They won't glue back on, so I had to buy a new set of cleats - you can't win!
