Restoration condition and fairly complete. Pictures show overall condition pretty well.
Have to start somewhere so the asking price is $450 US dollars. Will ship, may even meet, and of course local pickup. If this is your kinda bag, shoot me an offer. You never know unless you ask right?

Posted on Craigslist, Peoria,IL. and received an offer of $300 today. That was fast. Now all I have to do is contact the owner and see what she says. I think we are close!

Thats for sure George. Boils down to how fat the wallet can be. Mine is not one of them! I told the owner I am looking @ about $60. But if you are willing to have some fun with it, I can do better for you I am sure of that. will know more hopefully by this weekend as the first looker's come to see it. I hope they buy it. My take on this one would be $20 for may gas and photo's and ad's. the full price offer if taken would be roughly the same money in her pocket because then my 30% take comes into play as it will need to be broken down and shipped. But I will say she is tickled pink at the responses. after all these years it does become tough to let go. I could tell she is a bit sad.

The final chapter on the old girls Monark. In usual Craigslist fashion the $300 offer and the $320 counter ended up a no show. The full $450 offer ended up with them wanted included shipping. I countered @ $520 shipped as at that point breaking down and packing an old bike like that could be a nightmare and would have to kick in a 30% charge. (no real gain in bottom dollar to the owner). and no response back so back to
market or ebay or part out and ebay @ my normal 30% for the marketing, shipping, labor. Trying to help out an old friend and customer that is the caretaker of the bike's owner so she would not get ripped off or taken advantage of so easily. I had a gentleman from a close town interested in the bike because this type bike is his "forte'" so to speak, come and have a look see. He made an offer of $250 and after a quik discussion and reasoning with the caretaker (that wanted to make a move soon) and to save me trouble of having to ship or part out to ebay (Did not break my heart, I am swamped 30% or not). I told him he his ready to buy and leave some meat on the bone for the next guy and who cares what he does with it she has more than quadruppeled her investment. Everybody involved was satisfied and since the money was all going to her husbands medical bills I told the caretaker (Jim) good deal have a nice day and no charge! stay in touch.
