Peugeot Pro Team? need help with find out model
#1
Hi

I've bought this bike few days ago. i'm trying to find in net some info about this model. All I found is this one ebay offer link . As they say it is 88' Peugot pro team. The problem is i've checked a lot of catalogs for 80's and did't find any named like this one. Moreover paintings doesn't fit to models from that time. Serial numer for this one is Y806 29553. Maybe this is some special edition of regular model. Tubes are made in HLE technology (late 80's).

Here are some photos (not mine but idential):

If you have some catalog's where it is listed please send me.

I don't know what your concern is about the bike, but a Google search for [Peugot "pro-team"] (quotes put the exact wording as the first preference) yields multiple results referring to a 12 speed from the 80's. It is neither high-end nor a collector's bike (although there apparently was a carbon model called a Pro Team). In fact the three piece crankset (steel rings?) indicates an entry level bike. That's pretty much all you need to know. Working on any bike generally does not require much specific info about a particular model, especially as it is not unusual for specs to change on a model not only from year to year but even during a single year..

ride it and enjoy it, Does yours have the Helicomatic hub like the one in the picture? If so that may be an issue down the road if you need freewheel. Also takes a special tool to remove and replace properly. Lets see some pics of yours. It reminds me a bit of my Gitane, I sold it awhile back to a guy downstate. He sent me a pic of the way it looks now, here it is

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That sucks. I never leave my bike out of my sight anymore. Had one stolen once. The U locks seem to be the best ones. Cable can be cut easily.
Never Give Up!!!
