Rubbing noise from disc brakes?
#1
Hi,
After installing the front wheel back onto my bike, which has disc brakes, I'm noticing some noise while the wheel is spinning that kind of sounds like the brakes are rubbing. I've heard that some noise is normal, but do you need to set the wheel back into the fork dropouts a certain way to prevent excessive noise? Or could the noise be from something else, like tightening the quick release lever too tight, etc.?
Thanks!<br />

It sounds like it might be the disc rubbing. If you flip the bike upside down and spin the wheel can you see the disc touch the pads?

So after loosening the caliper; and letting "self adjust", I'm still having massive brake rub on my hydraulic disc brakes. My rotors are true( as far as I can tell....they lie perfectly flat when removed from the wheel and laid on a flat surface or checked with a level).
What else can I do to resolve this problem? aside from removing the entire caliper and taking it apart???
Thanks in advance for the help in this most annoying issue!!
Paul
