Disc brakes Groaning
#1
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me why my near new MTB disc brakes would be groaning.whining after just a few rides on road, path and trial? The rear brakes were fine for about two weeks and then started making the noise a few days ago. Under full pressure they are quiet but normal pressure brings a real loud noise. It's the first time I've had disc brakes so I'm lost.
Thanks,
Craig

Disc brakes will start to get noisy after they collect some dust/dirt. Try cleaning the discs and pads with a very clean rag and some rubbing alcohol.
