Soft seat
#1
Hi, The more ancient I have become (75), the more boney my butt has become. I presently ride a Fizi:k Antares seat, but now I would like something more gentle on the aforesaid boney butt. I have enjoyed the Flite seats in the past, but they tend to 'swayback' quickly. I wonder if there is another good looking racing seat out there that is soft and cuddly. The seat is now limiting my miles more than my legs. All suggestions appreciated - money is in short supply too !!!!

Brooks model: "Aged" seat, I am 67 years and ride lots, and some long trips. Discovered the Brooks seat and it was magic. Very little break-in and the "Aged" model is low maintenance. Was worth spending more, for me.

Thanks. I started riding in 1950 and covered thousands and thousands of miles on a Brooke B17 saddle and raced into the sixties on one. They are comfortable, but from memory they did require breaking in and leather treatment. Over the last sixty years I've become a bit of a snob, if you don't see it in The Tour, then you won't see it with me. I guess I'll just have to pay the price for snobbery !! Thanks Alligator.

The Brooks "Aged" are a different species than the old B-17 you talk about. Next to no maintenance, and already aged. Snobs wear blinders.
