Lateral play in rear wheel

I just replaced the cassette on my Easton ea90tt wheel with a Shimano Ultegra 10 speed cassette. The wheel/hub has less than 500 miles and the cassette less than 50. All parts have gone on just fine. I've noticed though that there is a little lateral play in the wheel. I can move the rim from side to side so as to touch the brake pads. Is the issue hub tightness? Suggestions?

Basically Yes, it's probably the hub bearings need tightening. Unless your spokes are slack. Lift the bike up and feel the side movement. You might be able to see / feel the hub move. I don't know what kind of bearing setup the Eastons have but you should be able to adjust them.
