Aftermarket for 2001 Trek 4300

I have an old 2001 Trek 4300 and just can not give the old girl up, however I would like to upgrade to a suspension fork. Im really up on how to select the correct forks ie size, threaded unthreaded. Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, however I did run across this site in my many google searches. Im still not sure what size of fork i need so I just emailed the store. I guess the things that confuse me is the how to determine tube size, hub spacing, steer diameter ect....

I think I found it! First I really hope this is your model of bike ....... http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2001&Brand=Trek&Model=4300&Type=bike . Scroll all the way down to the bottom and it will give you a lot of the specs you need. Pay attention to anything that says fork.
