Pedal feels loose
#1
Hi all, new to the forum.

I bought a cheap power climber about 4 months ago to commute to work on and every things been fine so far. This morning however i got on and started off up the street and the right pedal feels loose and wobbly.

I didn't have a lot of time to take a look but it seems like the pedal has come unthreaded from the crank. I don't have a lot of tools at home and was running late for work but i do have access to lots of tools at work.

How can i re-tighten the pedal? Do i need a specialist tool?

Thanks for the help.

A thin 15mm wrench is all it takes.

The left side pedal has backwards threads BTW, so counter clockwise to tighten. Right side is normal.
Don't ride with them loose, it's very easy to strip the threads on the crank and then you need a new crank arm.

Thanks, i took my bosses truck to my house and picked up the bike and he helped me fix it. I only rode it until i felt the wobble, maybe a minute at most then i got off and walked it back to the house.

I'll take it out tomorrow to make sure it feels normal.

Don't know if this is too late, but it might be your crank that is loose, and not the pedal
