[attachment=2711][attachment=2712]After years of cycling, I decided to build a one off for me. I got measured and bought a Cinelli frame. Its fitted with all Dura Ace and Ambrosio wheels with nemesis rims It has down tube shifters as I am so used to them and have always used tubulars. I like it and it is a joy to ride. I have built bikes for other people but this is mine.
Very nice! I like the handlebars. Somewhere between a flat and drop bar.

I really love it! Have you ever tried Heatshrink tubing to finish your bartape. Comes in different colors and even glow in the dark. I never really cared for the tape and electrical tape for this use. the heatshrink tubing gives it a cleaner finished look.

Looks like a nice bike. The handlebars remind me of a handlebar mustache (a la Rollie Fingers in the early 80's.
Painkiller, what size heatshrink tubing do you recommend, and how do you heat it evenly such that it shrinks?
Beautiful bike, congrats on having it your way.
Interesting idea about heat shrink tubing . I use it for electrical repairs. Have not seen any that big , but I am sure it can be had.
I cheated and used crazy glue. I started the wrap from the center and plugged it at the open end than used a drop of crazy glue gel for the bit that was sticking out.
BTW to heat shrink wrap evenly I just use a long snout fireplace lighter carefully all around.
Never Give Up!!!

Really nice looking bike. I also like the downtube shifters. Don't see 'em much any more.
Whose handle bar is that, and where did you find it? I've never seen one quite like it.
Now THAT is a kewl bike! As others pointed out, the handle bars would be very nice I would think. As an older guy, it isn't as comfortable to lean forward as it used to be. The headset ID plate is also kewl. Any chance of seeing a closeup or head on photo?
Are there decals on the frame or is it silk-screened? Just curious.
I like the color as well. That is dark blue right?
