Here is a good pedal it only cost 19.99 you can get them at Amazon.com
You can rebuild them and grease them too.This is what I use on my bikes
My dad always told me a Sledge a matic can fix any thing.

If you're not sure if you want platform or clipless, I'd recommend the Shimano PD-M324 Pedals. One side is platform and the other for clips. When you're not using the clips, the other side is weighted so you always have the platform ready to ride!

I can recommend those Shimano pedals I have them on one of my bikes and they are awesome.
