I have been really thinking of making tools that makes everyone's life easier but with inexpensive pieces and/or recycled material. Yea got a green thumb I think.

One idea is taking a steel tube from a wrecked frame no longer needed or usable and make a "cheater" bar out if Wink .

Another idea I have is to make some sort of tool to hold the wheels in one certain place and keep it from walking until you have it torqued the bolt to the proper caliber.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

I have one of these... http://www.parktool.com/product/magnetic-parts-bowl-mb-1 but now make my own. A friend owns a music store and has a pile of blown speakers fron guitar amps and PA cabinets. I use epoxy adhesive to mate them to plastic plates and bowls. STRONG magnet!

Good ideas! Bill, I think I mentioned that my favorite tool is the angle grinder. You really need one of those for making things from metal.

And Rob, another great idea! I wish I had read this before I threw away an old speaker. It was a big one too, a warhorse from the 1970's. The other half was stolen in a burglary in the 1980s so I kept this one in the basement to make sure they never got the second speaker of the set. I bet that magnet could have picked up my vise.
