I hope you didn't have far to walk to get back to your vehicles. Now this just added to the reasons why I don't go off road.

Well lucky for me the majority of the rest of the trail was downhill so I was able to coast down without having to pedal. Then we walked back probably a mile or so to where I live. It wasn't that bad, more just annoying.

We aren't really sure what happened. We decided to turn around after we both got sunk in the mud (a lot of mud as seen in the pictures), then coming downhill I pedaled a little bit and it tore it off then I guess.

Maybe a rock lodged itself in the chain and bottom pulley of the RD? Would this be considered "bike porn" lololol?

Looking at it I do believe you can put a new RD on it so the bike isn't totally trashed?!?

Haha! Well I was looking at some reviews on the derailleur and they said the design is prone to catching branches and sticks in that spot, so I figure that's what broke it.

Yeah just the derailleur broke everything else was fine. Just going to buy a new one and throw it on.

An old farmer was grooming his mule one sunny morning and noticed that the animal was passing a lot of gas. He remembered the over-ripe ears of corn that he had left by the barn. "You been eatin' my fishing corn, Donkey?", he asked.
Again, the mule replied "aaahhPHEW". Smile

Okay folks... let's watch our step.
