Cassette
#1
Hey,
I have a Cannondale F7 with Sunrace M66, 12-32 cassette. I would like to replace this with a Shimano or SRAM.

If the no of cogs are different on the new cassette, for ex, Shimano HG40 (Acera) 8sp cassette, 11-34, will it change anything? Do the cog nos have to be the same?

Thanks in advance.

Hi adil. As long as you are staying 8 speed, Sunrace, SRAM and Shimano are all compatible. The thing that you need to be careful of is the capacity of the rear drlr. IIRC, the F7 has a triple up front so your rear drlr should be a long cage that should easily handle a 12-32 to 11-34 swap.
