Suspension Fork Question

Recently brought this bike http://www.wiggle.co.uk/focus-black-forest-40-xt-2011/ the top cap on the suspension came off and loads of air came out. ive managed to get the cap back on just wondered if the forks would work properly now or need air putting back in somehow.

I believe the forks on this use air pressure as the spring, so yes. You should have gotten a little pump/gauge with the forks. If you didn't get that and a user manual for the forks, you should talk to the store. If it is that type, you need to know how to take care of these forks for them to work right.

Also if the top cap just "came off" that might indicate a problem. If you accidentally unscrewed it of course, probably just need to re-pressurize.
