Missing v-brake lever bolt
#1
Hello, I'm new to fixing bikes. I bought some new brake cable and caliper for the front brake but realized I'm missing a little bolt... think it is for tension... on the lever. I have V-brakes... when I get a new lever does it has to be specifically for that type of brake or will any lever do? This is a great site and very glad I found ya'll!! Smile

Yes, you will need a lever specific for v brakes. But most levers for flat bars are this type so it won't be a problem to find. Just avoid levers that are specific for the older style "cantilever" brakes. Some levers are universal and will work with either.
