Firenze GL 2000
I bought a Firenze GL 2000 12-speed and the cassette or freewheel needs replacement. Does anyone know if it is a freewheel or a cassette cluster? Also, what chainring should I find?
I'm learning 80% towards freewheel
As far as the cassette or freewheel can you take a photo and I may be able to identify which it is.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

I see Shimano on most of the visible parts...
6 speed is almost definitely a freewheel. But review this to double check: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/free-k7.html
Good call re the six speed most likely old freewheel. DaveM

Look at the hub is it smooth and continous diameter or does it get wider step up at the gear end.(wider is cassette) Of course seeing the cluster end off bike would tell more.

Sometime you got to take the wheel off and then compare to Sheldons photos.
Never Give Up!!!
