[attachment=1425]Well, couple weeks have gone by and while nothing major has broken, I have upgraded the Wal-Mart 29er with a QStick rigid steel fork and a longer seat post for better saddle position. Not sure on this saddle yet - rear end is sore from ride on trail last night, but that may just be a conditioning thing. Feel pretty good about this bike- I realize it is what it is, and I am what I am (310 lbs 6'2" and near 40 yrs old), so I know not to push any of the equipment (me or the bike) too far- no large drops or jumps-intermediate trail at most.
nice bike i like the color
very nice bicycle you might want to change the angle of your saddle a little it will let you hands rest better. The color is great love it. If you need any help with it this is the place to come to.Keep riding and enjoy it.
My dad always told me a Sledge a matic can fix any thing.
believe it or not- the saddle is level with ground when bike is not on the carrier- will post a "level" pic soon.
Very nice, I still yet have to get a 29'er
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
That's a Walmart 29er? I'm ashamed to admit it looks nice. If it's getting you out on the trails then it's doing its job. I admire you for adding that fork! I'm not man enough to go for a rigid fork. Keep us updated on the progress.
I won't tell anyone you liked the looks of a Wal-Mart bike. I was at the LBS tonight looking at a Marin 29er with an $850 price tag.....guess what I saw...a Made In China sticker on the frame. I don't feel so bad bout my Wal-Mart bike now....
