Shortened chain !!!
#1
Hi Alex, Yesterday I broke a link! Do I have to buy one or I can just make it 1 link shorter? How will it affect the performance?

It depends... check out the tutorial on how to calculate chain length. If the chain is too short you cannot use the extreme large - large combination (that you shouldn't use anyway). Go to your local bike shop, they usually have some spare links lying around from installation jobs. Or get a quick release chain link.

I agree with Joe_W, as we do not know what kind of setup you have it is hard to say. I would replace the link unless the chain is stretched out too far then I would replace the Cassette/Freewheel with a new chain. Best is to go to your Local Bike Shop.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!

Thanks very much to all of you for your help.
Alex, I compare the length as you show in the video and I even have to remove 2 more links. It fit perfect! I don’t even know how it was working before?
I’m now having problems adjusting the derailleur I watch both videos for the adjustment but I’m still having problems with some gears I will try adjust it today again.
Thanks…

Note: Front and rear derailleur are shimano acera and the cassette is a 8 speed shimano deore.
