I got new Tioga FASTR X Tires (Ask Me Anything)

Tioga offers their flagship race tire for 27.5 in just one style. I would have loved to try the React or BLK LBL versions.

What I can supplement from these is that they are incredible!

Speed factor Is absolutely amazing for semi-slick tires. The acceleration is crazy aggressive. And the grip pods really bring out everything in my 50mm stem. The handling is off the charts! For the record, I rode Continental Contact Speed 27.5x2.0 before this. Great tires. Fast. Comfortable. But bad handling and wet grip. I also rode the Pirelli Angel GT Urban 27.5x2.25 which I think are amazing. I had to move from those because they are a bit too wide for what I do, since I don't have an eBike. These Tioga are 1.5 tires and top out at about 80psi. I feel like I'm getting about everything I need out of these, even if they are a bit more energy to push above my road tires.

Amazing. I don't think I had even heard of Tioga tires before. More new stuff for me to learn!

Tioga is a very popular racing brand from Japan.

I normally overlook their content because it's outside of my activity, this just happened to be right in the style that I was looking for, and beat out the other options for utility, one of which that was very close was the Maxxis Detonators.

It's impressive how much a tire change can transform a bike's feel. Your point about the grip pods working well with a 50mm stem is interesting – it shows how tire design really interacts with the whole setup. How are they on loose gravel or hardpack trails?

These tires are not for that type of terrain. They're racing tires that do not do well on rocky surfaces. They've very thin, and very puncture prone. They don't really have any puncture protection technology at all, which means you'd want to go out of your way to install a puncture proof liner.
