Identify the model of this Scott bike
#1
Hello all

I was wondering if I can get your help

my nephew wants to buy this scott mtb and we are looking for the model of this bike

all we know is that it is a scott genius as the genius word is on the bike frame on the rear end frame of tye

besides that my searches indicated that scott genius have fox forks of 150mm and this particular one has rockshox which has matching color with the frame so I am assuming it was default frame for this model , and it was said 140mm instead of fox 150mm so this model is very confusing and I would be very greatful if we could identify the model of this bike as we are looking forward to buy this bike ,
it has shimano slx on transmission

Thank you for the help,

Thank you for the help,

Easiest way is to contact Scott's website and send a photo and serial number, or reference their catalogs for the frame color and components installed. I think that model has been made for at least ten years with many variants per year. If you know the model year it should not be to hard to figure out.

Looks like a Scott Genius 750 to me.

Suspension: RockShox Sektor TK Solo Air 140 mm on the front, 150 mm on the back
Wheels: 650 b wheels
Drivetrain: Shimano M622 chainset
Brakes: Shimano M395, 180mm rotors

If you match these specs, it's a Genius 750 Smile

Please look into Scott genius 950 2015 this model also resembles the bike.

It should spec to yours if they did not swap out any components.
