Bianchi

Hello,

My father owned this Bianchi likely from the late 1980s.... this is unfortunately the only photo I can provide. Does anyone happen to know the model? What would the approximate value be for this bike with no use for many years and just sitting in the basement? Thank you in advance.

hi Larissa.
the lighting is not the best, but I am fairly confident that this is Bianchi Limited with Shimano 600 groupset, manufactured in Japan. i found 1989 Bianchi Limited that was sold for $104 in a storage sale.

can you confirm that decals (stickers) or have someone take a photo of them?

Hi Larissa,
Hard to tell from that photo, but seeing the spoke guard hints at a low to mid range model possibly made in Japan. I think they also started manufacturing frames in Taiwan in the late 80's. I'd really need more photo evidence to determine its vintage. Make of components would help, and there would probably be date codes on them. Any decal information that you can recall? Just for general purposes and not being able to see frame condition and level of function who may get somewhere between $100-$200. If. In very good condition and all parts functional $150-$250. I doubt that it is Italian made and maybe $300 would be a max value; but still these are "blind" guesses. Much more info and imagery is needed for proper assessment. I can say without hesitation and only seeing that photo that I would not pay over $150 for it.

Hi Dom,
I think you're pretty spot on, year wise anyways, although I am not familiar with the model. The pedals look "105ish", so '87 or later. I was thinking that the $105 price would be at least the minimum it could fetch without having anything major wrong with it. Medium size (55cm?) helps sell value. The fork (unicrown) seems more 90's like, again I am not familiar that range of "outsourced" Bianchi's.
