Bio:
My first trail rides - in the late '60s - were in the woods near Babson College where I grew up.
My first "real" MTB was a 1990 Bridgestone MB-6, then a '92 Stumpjumper, followed by a 2002 Stumpjumper FSR.
After a few protracted battles with Lyme Disease, my riding was curtailed dramatically until I discovered pedal assist technology.
My first "real" (Class 1) eMTB was a 2015 Haibike Xduro (Bosch) FS RX, which an old college chum still rides.
Next up for me to was a 2018 Commencal MetaPower Race Fox with Shimano's first eMTB motor, the e8000. 3k+ trail miles later, I still ride that insanely fun and capable ebike.
I ride snowmobile-groomed trails on studded tires, too, something I never did in three decades of riding MTBs.
