Zwift v Spin v Wahoo
#1
I think in my research I've found my answers but I wanted to ask our great comunity how this works. Q - can I use my stationary Spin bike on Zwift? Can I use Wahoo on Zwift? Do I need a brand specific bike for any of these platforms or do I have to choose only one format.
Thanks,
SPINMAN

I thought I finally found my indoor riding app with MyWhoosh! All signs said this is a free riding app with great graphics and scenery. No need to buy any equipment. I go and try to set it up. It gives you Bike options and hair and beard and helmet and upgrades as you gain points - then, no movement. It seems you do have to have at least one piece of technology to make it go. All I need is a speed sensor now. Why can't I just ride my stationary Spin bike and watch the scenery on my TV?

Yes, you can use your spin bike with Zwift. Just add compatible sensors (like Wahoo) for speed, cadence, and ideally power. No brand-specific bike needed. Same sensors often work across multiple apps.

Understood but I was hoping to find just the visuals without the sensor connections, like just ride along the shoreline watching on my TV smart cast.
