Bike bus
#1
In my home town of Lincoln Ne, parents have started a bike "bus" to ride kids to school. At least two parents ride a route and pick up kids on their bikes, and ride to their grade school. One parent leads, and one or more follow to keep the kids safe. They come to the school at the end of the day, and ride the route in reverse to get all the kids home. The kids love it, and so do their parents since they dont have to start up their car, and take their kids to school. The of course only do this on days that are going to be nice all day.

Wow, so cool.

I have talked about the future of society in America wanting to embrace the infrastructure that the Netherlands has. With US cities and towns, especially suburban, banning vehicles on main roads and enforcing only bikes/pedestrian vehicles and public transportation. There are so many benefits to this. not only health wise, but also crime and safety. Public transportation could evolve also to accommodate for places where the weather gets extreme.
