Schrader vs Presta
#1
I've been using Schrader valves forever, including my tubeless setups. I ordered a new bike and it has Presta valves and while my first inclination is to chuck them and drill the rims for Schraders I'm open to being persuaded to keep the Prestas. The main issue I have is that my system for injecting the Stan's sealant threads right on to a Schrader valve. That plus the larger diameter makes sense to me for injecting the sealant.
Thoughts?

Drill out the rims for Schrader since you are already set up for them other than the rim valve hole. You can still use the Presta tubes/tires as back ups. You only need a couple small washers, one steel/alloy on the outside for the nut to thread down tight on and a plastic or fiber one on the inside to prevent cutting the tube/tire. You should sand or file the hole if you drill it to prevent sharp edges.

I like Schrader valves because they are more universal. You can go into a fuel station and pump up your tires. I have a pressure gauge which works on Schrader valves. Replacement valves are readily available, if one leaks.
